“Although both are caused by mosquito bites, the causes of dengue fever and malaria are different. Malaria is a disease caused by infection with the Plasmodium parasite while dengue fever is a disease caused by infection with the dengue virus. In addition, the types of mosquitoes that carry this disease are also different. Malaria is caused by the Anopheles mosquito. The mosquitoes that cause dengue fever are Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus mosquitoes.”![]()
