Cross learning field visit in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. 14-15 September 2018

American Refugee Committee as a host of Malaria CSO platform, together with Raks Thai Foundation and RAI RSC CSO representative Louis Da Gama organized field visit in RAI2E implementing area in Bongti bon subdistrict of Kanchanaburi Province, during 14-15 September 2018. Most people in this district are farmers, some of them also work in farm to collect forest product, most of the population in this district are Mon ethnic community. Kanchanaburi Shares border with Myanmar.

American Refugee Committee is implementing the RAI2E project in this district as a RAI2E recipient under the Raks Thai Foundation. Role of ARC as a CSO implementor is to support the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) through LLIN distribution, community mobilization and providing health education. Malaria in Kanchanaburi province increased in 2018 compared to 2017.
