The CSO platform in Melbourne for the 1st World Malaria Congress: 1 – 5 July 2018

The CSO platform secretariat and CSO partners from GMS countries shared the country specific experience in the first world malaria congress in Melbourne. The shared topics include: The role of volunteers to support malaria elimination in Thailand, Reaching the most marginalized, meeting needs of ethnic populations “Health as a bridge for Peace”, One size does not filt all: A tailored approach to diverse plantation worker preferences, mobile malaria services reaching border crossers, ethnic communities and forest goers in North East Cambodia, the role of community-based health workers in providing health services to hard-to-reach populations in the southern provinces of Laos towards achieving the national goal of eliminating malaria by 2030, contribution of Myanmar’s non-formal private sector to malaria elimination efforts, migrant health volunteers engagement in malaria elimination, Thailand, and Overview of mobility and access to universal health.
